Community guidelines

Runners tell each other what a club is really like: whether it’s beginner-friendly, whether anyone gets left behind, and a tip for first-timers. These guidelines keep those answers honest and kind.

What we ask for

  • Your own experience of a run you went to.
  • Honest answers, including when something didn’t work for you.
  • Tips that help someone going for the first time, such as where to find the group or what to bring.

What we won’t publish

  • Names or descriptions of other runners, run leaders or anyone else, and personal details such as phone numbers.
  • Insults, personal attacks, harassment, hate, discrimination, sexual content or threats.
  • Anything illegal, or claims about a person or club that you can’t back up.
  • Adverts, links or promotion.
  • Answers about a club you run, work for or are paid by, or about a run you didn’t go to.

How we check

Every answer and tip is read by a person before it appears. We confirm each one came from a real email address, and we may take out personal details or decide not to publish something. Tips appear without your name, alongside roughly when you went. We never show your email address.

Reporting something

Every tip has a Report link. You can also email hello@runclub.info. We’ll look within two working days and remove anything that breaks these guidelines.

For clubs

If you think an answer about your club is wrong or unfair, email us and we’ll check it. We won’t remove honest answers just because they’re critical, but we will fix mistakes. Organisers can’t answer about their own club.

Removing your answers, and complaints

To remove your answers, or if you’re unhappy with a decision we made, email hello@runclub.info from the address you used. We’ll reply within two working days. How we handle your details is in our privacy notice.
